The Sailor’s Dream App Reviews

Amazing

A secret world, much like the cloud castle you imagined in your youth. After exploring all the locations, more secrets are to be found. At every hour, go to transmission horologe to see what the old man has to say. Listen to the songs in the bottle every day of the week, and one last area will be added to your map. Sail there to reach the end. More an experience than a game, exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful graphics and songs, thumbs up for the creativity. Amazing soundtrack available on iTunes

Meh

I spent the first half an hour trying to find the game part of this game and then realized it was just reading and not the device 6 type of reading but just a story set on a pretty background. I was disappointed and I dont think its worth the price.

Finer minds will appreciate.

This isnt T-pains smule voice changer and this isnt angry birds. I feel compelled to write on behalf of this ground breaking new medium of art frankly because it touched me. The music is melancholic and haunting and I felt myself becoming close to the characters in a way that only a great book can, or perhaps a great new app. I hope more artists and story tellers will take note and also be inspired to tell their narrative in this new medium. Bravo to the creators and all artists involved.

What a letdown

Biggest waste of money, basically paying to read a pointless short story. The graphics and artwork were beautiful but there was zero point to this app. Completed it in less than 10 minutes and the only interactive part of the game is swiping between rooms.

??????

Downloaded it on the basis of a review which made it sound very interesting. I do not understand it. I keep hitting dead ends and what I am finding is boring. I don’t get the point of this app.

Nice

Short story but very nice. Congratulations.

Not a game but a story

A short, sweet story. Very well made. Attention, not a game in the traditional sense and unlike Device 6 where you solve puzzles to advance. This is rather exploration.

Played 20 seconds

Not kill time but kill yourself

I Love you, Simogo!

I waited. Desperately. For something new and beautifully, tiny designed. I downloaded this game just in fist minutes, when it appeared, and I cant wait to start it. I wish you to go on. You are very unique guys, and we, dreamers, and narrative lovers, are happy, with what you create for us. With warmths, from Russia.

Amazing!

So atmospheric and fabulous game! I am just in love! <3

Fantastic

Its real dream! Fantastic!

beauty but useless

i didnt get it. looks like someones diary, but why should i pay for it? yes, pictures and animation are good, why it should be interesting for me? if it a game, than add rules at least.

Oops

This should be a narrative journey of some sort. What I am actually experiencing is swiping through beautifully designed screens with some vague story behind. Its not experience at all. Moreover its not a game experience at all.

Wow.

Im glad to know that theres more to unlock in this game. Its beautiful. I think I might be sad when it ends. Its about pure exploration and discovery. There arent any puzzles, really. There certainly isnt any combat. Its like Myst, but it has more to do with the characters rather than mechanics. I have only played one session, but Im already in love. There is nothing more relaxing than wandering around forgotten spaces, reading clips of story and manipulating objects to musical aims. Bottom line: if you dont like this game, its unlikely that you can be helped.

More than once

Play the game more than once. Its a book that changes and adds everyday. Be patient and youll be rewarded.

Dear lord dont click the bottle......

Seriously.......

Just a pretty face. Great songs

This...whatever you call it...is beautiful no doubt, but there is really no point to it. I get that its not a game, fine, but there is no cohesive story line, no indication of what you are supposed to find, and the exploring is really not very interesting because its basically just looking at unrealistic paintings. If you could actually explore this app would be cooler, but the exploring in this is not fun, just tedious. The songs are gorgeous, thats the only reason I dont delete it.

No Puzzles?! Bummer...

its beautiful and a neat concept and the story is all sad & sailor-ish or whatever BUT what was the point in making things moveable if you never needed to move anything or solve anything? Wouldve been nice to be a challenge or some puzzles not just a lot of waiting for people to tell a story on a radio or sing from a bottle...

I liked it.

It was a beautiful game. It is not for everyone. You want hard action? Not here. This is more slow beauty. The music is good. It is more for exploring. Discovery. Little clues. Little movements. I wish there was a part two.

Incredible

What a beautiful, moving, engrossing... I dont want to say "game." Lets say experience, instead. The soundtrack is incredible (bought the album on iTunes!), the visuals are stunning, and the creativity in even the smallest details—the way sound and music is produced by manipulating objects throughout the adventure, for example—is inspired. This is not a game, its a soulful work of art by people clearly in love with the world theyve made. Thanks for sharing it with us.
